Drive to resort located in Northwestern Ontario. 28km north of Devlin, Ontario on Hwy 613N, just 40km from the Fort Frances, Ontario/International Falls, Minnesota border.

Lake Despair Lodge is on a chain of lakes with access to numerous excellent fishing lakes, we are the only resort on this chain of lakes: Lake Despair, Footprint Lake and Jackfish Lake plus numerous portage lakes.

Our main lodge is newly built. Built in 2020. On the main floor is a dining room, washroom utility room, a large commercial kitchen and a busy convenience store filled with groceries, tackle, pop, candy, Breyers hard scooped ice cream, ice cream novelties, clothing, ice and bait. There is a large deck in front with comfortable lawn chairs where you can come use Wi-Fi & check on home and whatever else.

Upstairs in the lodge is a huge open living area with kitchenette, bar and living room. There is a large master bedroom, two small bedrooms and a washroom. On the private deck area is a hot tub.

There are 8 light housekeeping cabins fully furnished with everything the guests require. They just need to bring their food. There is a total of 40 beds. The smallest cabin sleeps 2, some sleep 4, some 6 and the large cabin sleeps 9. Four (4) cabins (3 of the largest cabins and one new smaller cabin) are winterized. We get ice fishermen and snowmobilers. One cabin is rented for the winter each year.

There is also a 24 X 28’ winterized garage plus a propane refill facility which makes a good income located in the back. We cater to the cabin owners and have a large boat storage area used year round.

We have a beautiful campground with 20 sites. There are currently 16 seasonal campers at present time. The campground a a playground area with commercial grade swings & slide. There is a large pavilion, a bathroom, a bathroom plus shower house and a campfire wood shed area.

There are 5 – 16’ Lund boats with 25hp Yamaha motors. There are 2 – 17’ boats with 50 hp Yamaha motors plus other chattels.

Included is 1 1/2 minnow blocks with boats, canoes plus traps etc. to trap lots of your own minnows.

This is a “Turn Key Resort” in great condition with a good income and many return clientele. We have owned and built this up for 28 enjoyable years! It’s hard to let go. We’ve made many life time friends but it’s time for another young energetic couple to enjoy Resort Life!
